ELD COMPLIANCE
The Motive Driver App makes recording Hours of Service (HOS) on your Android phone or tablet fast and easy.
It complies with the FMCSA regulations, including Part 395. When used with the Motive Vehicle Gateway device, the app helps fleets and individual commercial drivers meet their obligations outlined under the ELD mandate.
Supports current Canadian Federal Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
Connect the Motive Driver App to the Motive Vehicle Gateway via Bluetooth to stay compliant through an electronic logging device (ELD).
Proactively alerts you when you’re running out of driving time to avoid Hours of Service (HOS) violations.
Displays total hours worked for the week and your available Hours of Service for any given day and the following day.
Can be switched to Inspection Mode to show ELD logs to an officer during a roadside inspection without compromising the driver’s privacy.
TRACKING & TELEMATICS
When dispatched, GPS location data is shared to the Motive Fleet Dashboard to update dispatchers and fleet managers on stops and arrivals.

The app works well and I would give it 5 stars if they would fix the Yard Move feature to automatically switch you to driving at a certain speed, instead of just Geofencing. Way too many times, I get to a customer spot and have to do a same door trailer swap, so I put it to yard move so I don't burn drive time. Then I'll get to my next stop an hour away and realize I forgot to switch to regular on duty before leaving the lot and it was in Yard Move the whole time. PLEASE FIX!!!!

Everything is good except if you are off duty and forget to put it on personal conveyance. Once you go over 5 mph it records it as drive time. There were multiple times when I didn't get my 36 hr reset because I needed to run some errands and by the time I realized, it was too late. I asked my dispatcher and they say there's no way to edit it on their end. The app doesn't allow you as a driver to edit it. Today my logs show 22 seconds driving time. What run can you do in 22 seconds?!

I hate this app with a passion. They're constantly making changes, and RARELY do they make anything better. The menu buttons constantly jump around, its only capable of finding my location about half the time, its very slow, and it now has the memory of a goldfish. Please pick a method of navigation and stick with it. Every time I finally get used to this garbage, you change it completely. The poleople that are forced to use this app don't have time to go back and forth over-and-over. UNRELIABLE

What's new
Walkthroughs now load instantly when drivers log in. Improved odometer handling to prevent duplicate entries. Fixed an issue showing the wrong inspection type for drivers working past midnight. Resolved a problem preventing Yard Move selection inside geofenced yards.
